On May 24, TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno emerged as the top Philippine agency in Campaign Brief’s THE WORK 2017. The TBWA network ranked third this year, with TBWA\SMP contributing in 15 of 62 metals this year. At the same time, TBWA\SMP Chief Creative Officer Melvin Mangada placed 14th in the Top 20 Creative Directors of 2017, making him the only creative director from the Philippines and the TBWA network to be recognized in the list.

A number of TBWA\SMP’s notable wins this year were for “Dirty Water Color” for ABS-CBN Foundation and “Correcting History” for Campaign Against the Return of the Marcoses to Malacañang (CARMMA). “Dirty Water Color” has been bringing in metals from all over since 2016, including a Bronze Lion from the 2016 Cannes International Festival of Creativity and a Green Award from the recently concluded AME Awards. “Correcting History” also has a lot to show for its arsenal, including a Grande Lotus Roots award from AdFest 2017 and a Wood Pencil from the 2017 D&AD Awards.

TBWA\SMP’s ranking will be featured in an upcoming print edition of Campaign Brief Asia’s 2017 Creative Ranking.

THE WORK is published by Campaign Brief, which recognizes the very best advertising from Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
