TAGUIG Last Wednesday, TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno won seven metals at the adobo Design Awards Asia 2018. Online film ‘Who Will Take Care of Me’ was given a Gold for Film Advertising, and a Bronze each for Video Film Craft Animation, and Illustration. Works of art from the event ‘Frottage: Go Wild on Safe Sex’ bagged a Silver for Press and Poster, and a Bronze for Illustration. The agency took home all the Bronze metals presented under the Illustration category with another win for ‘Made the Papers’. TBWA\SMP was also awarded the only Custom Typography Bronze metal for its work ‘Recyclable Recycled Calendar’.

‘Who Will Take Care of Me’ is an online video created for the Hero Foundation Inc., which aims to raise awareness for the orphaned children of the heroic soldiers that fought during the insurgence in Marawi. The campaign previously won big at the Kidlat Awards, taking home a Gold Kidlat Sinag, as well as Silver and Bronze Craft awards.
In light of the increasing number of HIV infections in the Philippines, TBWA\SMP and The Red Whistle hosted ‘Frottage: Go Wild on Safe Sex’, a one-night show during International Condom Day exhibiting numerous ways couples can enjoy safe sex and mutual pleasure.
With over 200 entries from all over the Asian region, and winning seven of the 53 metals awarded, TBWA\SMP has indeed achieved success during the adobo Design Awards Asia 2018 award ceremony held at the Globe Auditorium of the Maybank Performing Arts Center. It is only the beginning of the positive results the agency is expecting for this year’s awards season.
