TBWA\SMP bagged 23 awards, including back-to-back Agency of the Year and Executive Creative Director (Melvin Mangada) wins at the Adobo Creative Rankings.

MANILA Last night, TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno reigned supreme as they were once again named Agency of the Year at the Adobo Creative Rankings. Along with this coveted recognition, the Disruption Company’s creatives, advertisers, marketers, and campaigns were in the spotlight, going home with 22 individual top awards across 12 of the Rankings’ 21 categories.

The Rankings are measured by each advertising agency’s performance and achievements across 13 of the most notable local, and foreign award-giving bodies. For TBWA\SMP, this included wins and shortlists at Cannes, D&AD, AdFest, and Kidlat.

Topping the list was Chief Creative Officer Melvin Mangada with a back-to-back win as the Philippines’ #1 Executive Creative Director. Recently promoted Executive Creative Director Bryan Siy is hailed the best Creative Director and Copywriter, while John Ed de Vera was named the #1 Art Director. Portia Catuira, Marishka David, and Katya Gozo also ranked as the top three Account Managers in the Philippines.

This is also the second year in a row that Romar Quiroz and Dennis Carlos proclaimed the top Digital Creative and Print Producer spots respectively. Sharing the top spot for Young Creatives is Luigi Villamar and Nikko Pascua, who were also recognized as the #2 Digital Creative and #2 Art Director respectively. Tom Perdigon and Patrick Valiente were also honored as the second and third top Digital Creatives, while Sam Dedel claimed the third spot as the country’s top Young Creative.

Known to overturn cultural and market conventions, TBWA\SMP’s intiatives have translated into wins for its advertisers, marketers, and campaigns. The top of list includes ABS-CBN Foundation for the “Dirty Watercolor” campaign, and Pacific Paints Philippines for “Countless Colors”.

The adobo Creative Rankings measure the success of Philippine advertising agencies, production houses, creatives, marketers, and advertisers based on their achievements in local, regional, and global awards shows.
